Belmont Park this month will welcome two new local partners, Pizza Port Brewing Co. and MooTime Creamery.
Pizza Port will take over the Round Table Pizza space at the Mission Beach attraction, while Sweet Shoppe will carry MooTime Creamery ice cream.
Belmont Park is gearing up for its 100th anniversary in 2025, with additional updates to include the opening of a new ride, Shipwreck Cove, the repainting of the historic Giant Dipper Roller Coaster, a new look and simplified menu at the burger-and-shake restaurant Belmonty’s and improvements along the midway.
Pizza Port has a long history in the region, starting off as a pizza restaurant in Solana Beach in 1987 before offering its first craft-brewed beers in 1992. Today, Pizza Port operates six locations throughout in San Diego and Orange counties.
The brewery, in collaboration with Belmont Park, is working on a buildout and redesign of the old space with a menu featuring select pizzas and craft beer. The beer also will be available throughout the park.
“Pizza Port at Belmont Park is a great way to share our adventure for fun, sun and a lifestyle that makes living in San Diego awesome.” said Gina Marsaglia, who oversees day-to-day operations at Pizza Port eateries. “What better place to experience that than at a beachfront amusement park?”
Opened in Coronado in 1998, MooTime Creamery is a 50’s-inspired ice cream shop that makes all its ice cream from scratch.
“Over the last 98 years, the one thing that has remained constant at Belmont Park is our beloved San Diego community,” said Sarah Abelsohn, director of marketing at Belmont Park. “We love serving our local community and are thrilled to add two long-standing, San Diego staples to the park.”
