A power outage left hundreds of homes and businesses without electricity Thursday in Eastlake and Rancho Del Rey and in the area of Otay Reservoir.
The blackout struck the east Chula Vista area about 3:20 p.m. Thursday, knocking out power to 1,046 San Diego Gas & Electric customers, according to the utility.
Service was expected to be restored to all the affected addresses by 10:30 p.m.
The cause of the outage was under investigation, the company reported.
