
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped a half-cent Saturday to $4.886, the fourth consecutive decrease after rising two-tenths of a cent over the previous three days.
The average price has dropped 2 cents over the past four days, including nine-tenths of a cent Friday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 1.8 cents less than one week ago and $1.413 lower than one year ago but 3.8 cents more than one month ago.
The average price has dropped $1.487 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5.
The national average price dropped six-tenths of a cent to $3.578, one day after remaining unchanged. It is one-tenth of a cent more than one week ago and 1.7 cents higher than one month ago but $1.348 less than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.438 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
