The San Diego Foundation has welcomed two new board members, a bank executive and a tech CEO.
Xiomara Arroyo and Alessandra Lezama started their terms on July 1. The San Diego Foundation Board of Governors is composed of volunteers with diverse professional backgrounds, who participate in community and charitable activities throughout the region.
“Our board and staff welcome Xiomara and Alessandra to our foundation family and are grateful for their service,” said Mark Stuart, president and CEO of the foundation. “Their diverse experience and backgrounds will strengthen our leadership and impact as we pursue just, equitable and resilient communities for all San Diegans.”
Arroyo is a market manager and vice president for PNC Bank, serving the Southern California region. She leads a team of financial consultants who customize financial wellness and employee benefits programs for mid- to large-sized companies.
The graduate of Cal State San Marcos currently chairs the board of San Diego Habitat for Humanity and is also a member of the President’s Advisory Council at CSUSM.
Lezama founded TOOTRiS, a child care technology platform that helps parents find, enroll and pay for child care in real-time. Her accolades include the “Dream Big – Minority Small Business of the Year Award” from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and “Moving San Diego Forward Award” from the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. She also serves on the board and Management Council of the regional chamber.
The San Diego Foundation, a part of the community for 46 years, has granted more than $1.3 billion to support nonprofit organizations throughout the region.
