Sempra Energy on Tuesday announced three key executive appointments overseeing its Southern California utility companies San Diego Gas & Electric and Southern California Gas Co.

Under Drury’s leadership as president of SDG&E since 2017, the utility strengthened the safety and reliability of its energy grid while providing customers with cleaner energy choices and expanding electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the region. Previously, he served as SDG&E’s chief energy supply officer and vice president of human resources, diversity and inclusion. He has been with the Sempra Energy family of companies since 1986.

Bret Lane, currently CEO of SoCalGas, is retiring after 38 years of distinguished service for the company.
