Pardee Homes has opened a new development in Pacific Highlands Ranch that offers contemporary design in contrast to the Spanish and Mediterranean styles that dominate local home construction.

The single-family homes in Vista Santa Fe are built in a contemporary style that is reminiscent of mid-century modernism. Pardee describes the design as “desert modern architecture with a San Diego twist.”

The homes have four or five bedrooms, from 4,356 to 4,925 square feet of space, and are priced from the $1.8 million. They feature rooftop decks and spacious courtyards.

“Turning the vision for Vista Santa Fe into a reality consisted of thoughtful planning and careful innovative design, and we couldn’t be more pleased to welcome our first residents to the neighborhood,” said Jimmy Ayala, Pardee Homes San Diego division president. “With spacious rooms that lead to breathtaking outdoor spaces, Vista Santa Fe’s homes create the ideal space for today’s active San Diego family.”

Residents of the neighborhood of 44 homes have access to more than 15 miles of interconnected pedestrian, bicycle and equestrian trails that connect with adjacent open space parks, canyons, and preserves.

Pacific Highlands Ranch is located within the city of San Diego east of Carmel Valley and north of State Route 56.
