The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose two-tenths of a cent Saturday to $3.677, its second consecutive increase after decreasing 18 of the previous 19 days.

The average price is six-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 8.8 cents lower than one month ago, and 6.1 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

It has risen 33.6 cents since the start of the year.

“Concerns about flaring at the Chevron refinery in Richmond last week briefly pushed up local wholesale gasoline prices, but they headed back down this week as it became clear there is plenty of supply,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
