The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Friday for the 13th consecutive day, falling two-tenths of a cent to $3.685, its lowest amount since April 3.
The average price has dropped 6 cents over the past 13 days, including three-tenths of a cent Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 3.4 cents less than one week ago and 2.3 cents lower than one month ago, but 6.5 cents more than one year ago.
“Gas prices are still about 45 cents higher than they were at their lowest point of 2019 in January, but they are heading downward slowly because oil prices are lower than a month ago and local refineries have plenty of fuel inventory,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
