The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Wednesday to its highest amount since Nov. 15, increasing 3.4 cents to $3.668.

The average price has risen 16 consecutive days and 22 of the past 23, increasing 34.6 cents, including 1.1 cents Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 11.1 cents more than one week ago, 35.7 cents higher than one month ago and 13.2 cents greater than one year ago.

The rising prices are the result of refinery problems in Carson and Torrance and increasing oil costs, according to Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
