The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Thursday for the ninth time in 10 days, increasing a half-cent to $3.731, its highest amount since Aug. 19, 2015.

The average price has risen 6.7 cents over the past 10 days, including a half-cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose for six consecutive days, dropped three-tenths of a cent on Monday and resumed increasing on Tuesday.

The average price is 3.8 cents more than one week ago, 15.4 cents higher than one month ago and 74 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 60.9 cents since the start of the year.
