The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce announced Cox California’s Sam Attisha will become chair of the business organization’s board of directors starting in January.
Attisha, who is senior vice president and region manager of the cable, telephone and Internet provider, will serve a one-year term as chair of the chamber’s 80-person board.
“Sam has long been an active member of our board and supporter of our efforts and programs and we are fortunate to have him lead our board as chair,” said Jerry Sanders, president and CEO of the chamber. “Sam’s experience in business and public affairs will be an asset to the chamber and our work in creating an environment for business to succeed.”
Attisha takes over from Ernesto Arredondo Jr., executive vice president and chief banking officer at Seacoast Commerce Bank, who has served as chair since April 2016.
“The chamber plays a critical role in making San Diego a vibrant place to live and do business,” said Attisha. “As chair, I look forward to working with the board to continue the chamber’s important work in fighting to make San Diego a great place to do business and developing future leaders.”
Attisha has served on the chamber board since 2009. He grew up in El Cajon, graduated from the University of San Diego and earned an MBA from Cal State Sacramento.
