Credit union industry veteran Dean Odle has been named the new president and chief executive officer of San Diego’s Cabrillo Credit Union.
“With the extensive credit union industry experience and impressive list of accomplishments that he has, we feel lucky to have Dean as our CEO and look forward to the future of our institution under his leadership,” said Bruce May, chair of the credit union’s board.
Dean joins Cabrillo from Public Service Credit Union in Lone Tree, CO, where he was chief retail officer, and has previous experience in the credit union industry. He is a graduate of Oregon State University and has a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta.
“This is a truly exciting opportunity. Cabrillo is a great organization with strong financials, terrific employees, and of course, wonderful member-owners,” Odle said.
The credit union was established in 1955 to serve Border Patrol agents in San Diego. Today it has five branches and serves not only the Border Patrol but other federal agencies, Sharp HealthCare, the City of Carlsbad and many other customers.
