San Diego Company Named Finalist for $7M Ocean Discovery Xprize

San Diego’s Orca Robotics could win the $7 million Shell Ocean Discovery Xprize.

Companies competing for the prize will participate in a 16-hour challenge involving swimming drones, according to the San Diego Business Journal.

Orca Robotics is a company that is “creating an underwater system that uses phase array radar and computing power to provide results in real time,” the newspaper reported.
