Navy Federal continued its expansion in the the San Diego market by opening a new branch in El Cajon on Thursday.

The branch at 709 Fletcher Parkway is the 26th in the San Diego area. As part of the opening, the company made a donation to the local chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Navy Federal opened branches in Oceanside in June and La Mesa in March.

The Virginia-based credit union has nearly 400,000 members in the San Diego area and is the nation’s largest.
