Alaska Airlines announced plans Wednesday to offer nonstop service between San Diego and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport beginning in March.
The airline said Baltimore is its fourth East Coast destination from San Diego. Alaska currently serves Baltimore from Seattle and Los Angeles
“Our San Diego customers will soon enjoy nonstop flights to this historic seaport city, as well as easy access to the nation’s capital nearby,” said John Kirby, Alaska Airlines’ vice president of capacity planning.
The daily overnight flight will leave San Diego at 10:55 p.m. and arrive in Baltimore at 6:46 a.m. the next day. Return flights will leave Baltimore at 6:15 a.m. and arrive in San Diego at 8:39 a.m.
The airline will use Boeing 737 jetliners with leather seats, WiFi and power outlets.
