Grading and land development has begun for a 250-acre, nature-oriented community of 357 homes near Discovery Lake in San Marcos.
The Rancho Tesoro community will be divided into four neighborhoods with different architectural styles. Detached homes will offer four and five bedrooms and range in size from 2,211 to 3,565 square feet.
Residents can walk to Discovery Lake via an extensive trail system, and the design is nature-oriented as a result.
“Future residents of Rancho Tesoro will enjoy a true front row seat to nature, as the community will include a direct connection to Discovery Lake for walking and biking, catch-and-release fishing, picnicking, enjoying playgrounds and more,” said Mercedes Meserve, vice president of marketing for developer Brookfield Residential Southern California.
The community is close to Cal State San Marcos, one of the fastest growing universities in California.
Brookfield Residential expects Rancho Tesoro to open in the spring of 2017
