The popular 85ºC Bakery Cafe is opening in Mira Mesa this summer.
The restaurant chain, which currently has one other location in the region in Clairemont, will open June 10. The cafe is often packed with customers who often line up outside the restaurant, waiting for baked goods.
“There is no community as unique as Mira Mesa. There are military bases, bio-tech and high-tech companies, and residents from all around the world,” said Charles Wu, operating director. “We are thrilled to become a part of this special community, where we will serve those who serve our country.”
The cafe is known for its Taiwanese-style pastries including taro buns, egg tarts and pork buns. 85°C Bakery Cafe is a publicly traded company in Taiwan with more than 900 stores worldwide, including Taiwan, China, Australia, Hong Kong, and the U.S.
The Mira Mesa location is at 8265 Mira Mesa Blvd. A spokesperson for the company said another location is planned for National City.
