A Southern California owner and operator of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit franchises plans to open eight more locations in San Diego County.
Michael Tucker, owner of the Dickey’s in La Quinta, plans to open restaurants in Indio, Moreno Valley and Redlands as well as eight locations in north and south San Diego county.
Dallas-based Dickey’s announced Friday that Tucker has added eight San Diego locations to his existing four-store deal.
“Dickey’s has grown rapidly along the West Coast, and we are proud to have dedicated owner/operators such as Michael Tucker who further our brand every day,” said Roland Dickey Jr., CEO of the chain. “The Dickey family congratulates Michael on his development agreement and we look forward to celebrating many grand openings in the future.”
Dickey’s now has three restaurants in San Diego and more than 100 throughout California. The chain was founded in 1941 to offer Texas-style slow-smoked barbecue.
