The company that taught Americans to buy books online is testing the retro concept of a bricks and mortar bookstore at Westfield UTC.

Signage next the Tesla showroom and across from the Apple store confirms that Amazon will open a bookstore in the summer.

The Seattle-based online retailing giant opened its first bookstore in Seattle in November. The San Diego store will be its second.

The store is expected to stock a selection of Amazon’s best-reviewed books and serve as a showroom for the company’s expanding hardware lineup, including the Kindle, Fire TV, Fire tablets and Echo personal assistant.

Amazon may open as many as 400 stores across the country, according to publishing industry analysts.
