KB Home has opened Magnolia Trails, a neighborhood of 44 single-family homes priced for first-time buyers and located near Mt. Helix in El Cajon.

The two-story homes range in size from 2,292 to 2,757 square feet with up to five bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and two-car garages. Pricing begins in the high $500,000s.

The development is located at the corner of Magnolia and Chase Avenues near Interstate 8. The community is served by the Cajon Valley Union School District and within walking distance of Chase Avenue Elementary School.

The homes are designed to be highly energy- and water-efficient, and are equipped with smart USB outlets, surface mounted LED lights and WaterSense-labeled fixtures.

Founded in 1957, KB Home has built nearly 600,000 homes throughout the United States.
