The world’s largest retailer is gearing up for Black Friday in San Diego, with it’s 26 stores opening at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving day.
Walmart spokesman Scott Markley said the retailer had ordered 1 million televisions, 10 million pajamas and massive stocks of other popular items for the year’s most intense shopping period.
“If you’re in the store between 6 and 7 you’re going to get one of the items your interested in,” he said.
The retailer is offering Black Friday deals even earlier online, starting just after midnight on Thursday. Markley said 95 percent of the featured items are also available online.
Among the deals are the Apple iPad Air 2 for $399, Beats Studio headphones for $169 and a 55″ LG TV for $698.
If a store runs out of a featured item between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving, you can still purchase it with delivery guaranteed by Dec. 24.
Jesus Villa, manager of the store on Murphy Canyon Road near Qualcomm Stadium, said his store was ready for the deluge. “It’s just the busiest day of the year for us,” he said.
