The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Monday to its lowest amount for Memorial Day since 2010, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.91.
The average price has fallen eight times in the last nine days after rising 28 times in 30 days to its highest amount since July 26, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 6.8 cents less than one week ago and 20.9 cents lower than one year ago, but 56.7 cents more than one month ago.
The prices are dropping because “supply issues seem to have been resolved,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
