A new development of 58 contemporary single-family detached homes opens Saturday in Civita, the transit-oriented urban village in Mission Valley.

Apex by Ryland Homes features modern California designs with prices starting in the high $700,000s. Homes range from 2,092 to 2,229 square feet with up to five bedrooms and 3.5 baths.

Highlights include panoramic views of Mission Valley, expansive windows, gourmet kitchens, energy-efficient LED light fixtures and outdoor entertaining areas.

Models will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 23. Perky Beans will be serving complimentary coffee drinks and smoothies until 4 p.m.

Located on a former quarry site, Civita combines proximity to shopping and restaurants with trolley access to downtown San Diego, Old Town and Qualcomm Stadium.  The community is being developed by Sudberry Properties over the next 10-15 years with an emphasis on sustainability.

Long-range plans for the 230-acre urban village call for 4,780 homes and apartments, a multi-level park, approximately 480,000 square feet for a lifestyle retail center and 420,000 square feet for an office/business campus.
