Looking for some new digs in San Diego?
Sudberry Properties has commenced pre-leasing at West Park, located in the sustainable urban village of Civita, in anticipation of the opening of the first phase of the luxury apartment community in January.
The 612-unit, midrise apartment community on 10 acres adjacent to Friars Road, will incorporate hotel-style amenities, high-style apartments with open floor plans, and eco-friendly features.
“West Park’s amenities and ambiance will be on par with top-tier resorts,” said Marco A. Sessa, senior vice president at Sudberry Properties, developer of the 230-acre Civita masterplan. “West Park will have its own half-acre park, a half-mile jogging loop with exercise stations, three individually themed swimming pools, rooftop lounges with TVs, barbecues and fireplaces, and a 10,000-square-foot gym and recreation area. Plus, residents will have access to the amenities at the adjacent Circa 37 apartment community, and vice versa,” he said.
West Park’s apartments are designed with between 507 to 1,286 square feet and include one, two, or three bedrooms, as well as studio configurations. Features include quartz countertops, hardwood-style flooring in main living areas, stainless steel appliances, and in-home, full-size washers and dryers. Monthly rents will range from around $1,600 to $2,850 in the initial phase.
“The non-smoking West Park community is raising the bar on sustainable living,” Sessa said. “The latest green technology is being used throughout, starting with state-of-the-art building practices, such as hydronic HVAC systems, WaterSense® fixtures, Energy Star appliances, solar electric system for some of the common areas, LED outdoor lighting, and a high efficiency irrigation system.”
Civita has been designated a ‘smart-grid’ community by San Diego Gas & Electric, which may allow portions of Civita to operate independently of the grid and keep electricity flowing to critical parts of the community during outages.
West Park residents will also have access to the car-sharing service car2go and electric charging stations. West Park is located near the San Diego Trolley station and future plans call for the construction of a pedestrian bridge over Friars Road to make the trolley even more accessible.
“Besides abundant recreational features, such as a media screening room with stadium seating, West Park will have conveniences like Wi-Fi throughout the common areas and pools, an 18-seat conference room, a juice bar, a dog washing station and a bicycle repair workshop area,” noted Sessa.
