The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Tuesday to its lowest amount since Jan. 28, falling nine-tenths of a cent to $3.61.

The average price has dropped 12 consecutive days and 38 of the past 39, decreasing 21.2 cents over that span, including six-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 7.2 cents less than one week ago, 16.7 cents lower than one month ago and 20.4 cents below what it was one year ago.
