Luv Surf Apparel, which began as a tiny shop in Mission Beach, has begun selling its line of women’s surfing-inspired clothing and accessories in France.

The company will be showcasing its “Be Free” collection at Action Fun Lorient, an action sports lifestyle store in the French coastal town of Lorient.

“We are excited to launch our global presence at Action Fun Lorient,” said Chris Kramer, brand director for Luv Surf. “This step into the international arena is the first of many opportunities to make Luv Surf Apparel a global brand.”

The company also plans to sell in Athens and Tokyo.

Luv Surf was founded in 2012 by Gina Champion-Cain to design and sell clothing inspired by the sunshine and surf culture of California. The company’s vision is “to connect girls across the globe with the shared love of waves, surf, and an active lifestyle.”
