The stars come out downtown this San Diego weekend, so plan accordingly if you’re headed that way. Explore fests too, focused on community, good eats, Mother Earth and some of the sleekest cars around.

Comedian, author and former “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah continues his “Off The Record” tour stop at the San Diego Civic Theatre. Noah has a new book and Spotify podcast planned for this year. He appears at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. Remaining tickets start at $76 and are very scarce.

Petco Park plays host to two classic pop stars, Billy Joel and Sting. Resale tickets are abundant for the show, at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Looking for vegan options? Saturday will be a busy day:

  • Vegan Food Pop-up – There’s a circuit of the pop-ups and North Park Mini-Park’s happens the second Saturday each month. Head over at noon for bites and a pet adoption fair too. A look ahead: The Vista Pop-Up follows on April 19.
  • San Diego Vegan Festival – 11 a.m., Waterfront Park. Head to the free vegan picnic, and bring blankets, folding chairs and reusable utensils as vendors sell goodies and drinks.

The Rolando Street Fair, on Rolando Boulevard of El Cajon Boulevard, features a beer garden, craft and food booths, a Kids Zone and live entertainment. Performers include School of Rock San Diego and Euphoria Brass Band, ahead of the headliner, Western Standard Time Ska Orchestra with Jesse Wagner-Eitan, at 4:45 p.m. The (mostly) free event – Kids’ Zone access costs $5 – starts at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Chula Vista’s annual South Bay Earth Day features headliner Ozomatli, along with Selena tribute band Dreaming of You. This zero-waste celebration also includes family-friendly activities, workshops, exhibits, nonprofit booths, vendors, art, food and drink. The fair, at Chula Vista Bayfront Park, opens at 11 a.m. and the entertainment starts at 1:30 p.m.

The Save Our Heritage Organisation hosts a guided walking tour of “Calle Judeo” at 11 a.m. Sunday to explore the history of Old Town’s former cluster of Jewish-owned commercial
businesses over an era that spanned 1850 to 1872. The tour meets in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. Tickets must be purchased in advance and start at $45.

If you like your bulls a little sleeker than nature provided, join the Little Italy Association and O’Gara San Diego for the annual Bulls of Sant’Agata at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. We’re not talking cattle. More than 20 new, classic and rare “Italian bulls,” better known as Lamborghinis, will fill India Street between W. Fir and W. Grape streets and there will be entertainment too.
