Singer-songwriter Joan Osborne is set to perform cuts from her recent album, Nobody Owns You, at the Belly Up in Solana Beach on April 9.

Osborne’s last album Trouble and Strife took a look on the U.S. political climate, while Nobody Owns You has a more personal and introspective point of view. Tickets start at $45.

She will take the stage at 8 p.m. Allyssa Jacey is set to open the show.

The eight-time Grammy nominee has shared the stage with artists ranging from Stevie Wonder and Mavis Staples to Bob Dylan and Lucinda Williams. She is best known for her ’90s pop hit “One of Us” and her appearance in the hit documentary Standing in the Shadows of Motown.

She also has recorded and performed with a side project, the band Trigger Hippy, founded by Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman.

Other artists performing in April at the Belly Up include Yonder Mountain String Band, Orianthi, Jimmie Vaughn & the Tilt-a-Whirl Band, the Brothers Comatose, the Floozies, Jim Messina and Charles Wesley Godwin.

Two Melissa Etheridge shows, to start the month, are sold out.
