The Beach Boys, followed by Ziggy Marley, will perform Saturday and Sunday at Petco Park, as the Padres kick off Summer 2021 with two Memorial Day weekend concerts.
The Beach Boys, members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, will be joined by guests John Stamos and Mark McGrath for the 7:30 p.m. show. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Grammy-winning reggae star Ziggy Marley pays tribute to his father, Bob Marley at the 8 p.m. Sunday. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Each show takes place on the Petco Park field with the stage set up near second base. Guests may choose between vaccinated/tested sections, or socially distanced pod-style sections. Tickets, which are limited, for both shows start at $39.
Standard COVID-19 safety protocols from Padres home games will be in place: guests two years and older must wear masks at all times while not actively eating or drinking, and hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the park.
The Padres, in partnership with CBF Productions, are putting on the shows.
Other concerts planned for Petco this summer include the country trio Midland, performing at the park’s Sycuan Stage in Gallagher Square on June 30.
Then there’s a break until late August when an ’80s rock tour headlined by Motley Crue and Def Leppard arrives on Aug. 28, followed by Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer the next day.
