
San Diego Restaurant Week doesn’t begin until Sunday, but travelers at San Diego International Airport will get a sneak peak with free tastings throughout the day on Wednesday and again on Sept. 26.
The first day of “Taste of SAN” kicks off with celebrity chef Santiago Campa of the Donut Bar serving up samples from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at gate 38 in Terminal 2.
In addition to free tastings, travelers can enjoy live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, and special offers from airport shops and restaurants.
On Sept. 26, Su-Mei Yu of Saffron Thai will conduct a cooking demonstration in in the Sunset Cove area of Terminal 2.
Restaurant Week outside of the airport runs from Sunday, Sept. 22, through Sunday, Sept. 29. More than 180 restaurants are participating, and an estimated 150,000 diners are expected to explore new restaurants, innovative menus and exotic cuisines.
