Legal Restaurants, a full-service hospitality development group, plans to open The Florence restaurant and cocktail bar at the Kilroy Saber Springs office park this month.

Paying homage to San Diego swimming legend Florence Chadwick, the 10,000-square-foot indoor and two-acre outdoor space is intended to radically transform the office development.

The new restaurant is part of Legal Restaurants’ commitment to help office owners throughout Southern California and Arizona stand out from their competition with elevated amenities and programming.

The $4 million project is one of five restaurants the hospitality group will be opening over the next two years.

“There couldn’t be a better time in our world to create a new venue themed around a powerful female athlete like Florence Chadwick,” said Antonio Friscia, Legal Restaurants owner and chef. “With Florence as the inspiration, we wanted to transform guests to a great era through creative design and provide a comfortable, elegant venue for tenants, local businesses and families.”

Under the direction of Executive Chef Ricardo Heredia, the restaurant will feature a locally-sourced menu, refined beer, wine and cocktails, and an array of unique amenities, such as intimate fire pits, a regulation-sized bocce ball court, a covered “boat shack” dining room and beach resort-style seating.

The Florence is located at 13480 Evening Creek Drive North.
