If you’re looking for something fun to do, head over to the San Diego Mesa College Theater Co., for a rousing  adaptation of Peter Pan before he became “the boy who never grew up” in “Peter and the Starcatcher.”

With a dash of magic and spark of imagination, Rick Elice blends fantasy and reality on a magical coming of age journey.  This fun, family-friendly rendition of Peter Pan, with pirates, mermaids and sword fights and treasure runs for three weekends in October.

Matinée performances on Sunday, Oct. 21 and Sunday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. include ‘Dress-like-a-Pirate Day,’ where attendees are encouraged to come in costume.

“The drama department is bringing back musical theater after a 15 year hiatus – and we couldn’t be more excited for audiences to enjoy this performance,” said Dr. Pamela T. Luster, president.

The event is at San Diego Mesa College Apolliad Theatre, located at 7250 Mesa College Dr., San Diego.  Parking is free. Information and tickets are available at www.sdmesa.edu/drama.
