More than 180 restaurants throughout San Diego County will offer special prix-fixe menus to encourage diners to explore when Restaurant Week returns on Sunday.
“San Diego Restaurant Week is the perfect platform for locals and travelers to discover and enjoy our vibrant restaurant community at a fantastic value. It is a great opportunity to take our new guests on an exciting journey through our culinary world,” said Chef Bernard Guillas of The Marine Room in La Jolla.
Among the other restaurants to explore are:
- Barrio Star, a hip Mexican eatery in Hillcrest
- The classic French Bleu Bohème in Kensington
- Coasterra on Harbor Island with its views of the downtown skyline
- The comfortable Patio on Lamont in Pacific Beach
- The elegant NINE-TEN in La Jolla
The annual fall season event is actually eight days long, from Sunday, Sept. 23, through Sunday, Sept. 30.
Most restaurants are offering three-course prix-fixe dinner menus for $20, $30, $40 or $50 per person and/or two-course prix-fixe lunch menus for $10, $15 or $20 per person.

The event, typically held twice a year, is organized by the San Diego County chapter of the California Restaurant Association.
