The 20th annual Old House Fair in South Park is giving visitors the opportunity to tour historic homes in one of the nation’s major historic urban communities.

The event takes place Saturday and will bring together vintage home specialists, historic preservation enthusiasts, home owners and history lovers.

South Park is located east of Balboa Park, north of the Golden Hill and Stockton neighborhoods and south of the North Park neighborhood. This year, event organizers are celebrating South Park’s newly designated historic district bounded by 28th Street to the west, Elm Street to the north, 31st Street to the east and A Street to the south.

The Old House Fair tour features docent-lead viewing of five historic homes. The tour will begin at the Rose Wine Bar on 2219 30th Street. Ticket booth and information will be located on the bar’s patio space.

This year’s event will also feature an architect-led bike tour of neighborhood homes built by notable architects both historic and modern. The bike tour begins at The Rose Wine Bar as well.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
