The two new co-hosts of the reality television show “MythBusters” toured the exhibition at the Fleet Science Center and gave it a big thumbs up.

Jon Lung and Brian Louden toured “MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition” on Thursday, in advance of the public opening in Balboa Park on Saturday.

“People are just now starting to know us as the MythBusters,” said Louden, who along with Lung was chosen after a televised search, and has now appeared in 14 episodes.

The two explained each of the experiments, as wells as mementos from the decade-long show that uses scientific principles to debunk myths and legends. They ran through rain drops, successfully pulled tablecloths from under plates, and explained why you can’t use explosives to paint a room.

“As a MythBuster, you blow lots of stuff up,” Louden quipped.

The exhibition has a serious side in attempting to explain the scientific method and inspire future scientists.

“Science is about finding a question of your own and figuring out how to test it,” said Geoffrey Curley, whose company created the traveling exhibition.

The exhibition runs though Sept. 3. It costs $5 in addition to regular admission.
