The shows join a production of Dr. Seuss’ environmental fable “The Lorax,” which was previously announced.
“The Globe’s 2018 summer lineup is everything this theater is celebrated for — great Shakespeare by leading American artists, a classic crowd-pleasing comedy, and a return to our beloved friend Dr. Seuss,” said Artistic Director Barry Edelstein. “These shows are smart, fun, and vibrant, and great for the entire family.”
“Barefoot in the Park,” about a mismatched couple in New York, will run July 28 to Aug. 26.
The Summer Shakespeare Festival lineup will include “The Tempest,” June 17-July 22, and “Much Ado About Nothing,” Aug. 12-Sept. 16.
“The Lorax” is set for July 2-Aug. 12.
Summer Season 2018 subscriber tickets will go on sale on Sunday.
