The Balboa Park Cultural Partnership has tapped a public relations executive from the San Diego Zoo to promote the park as a premier destination in the region.
Michael Warburton, former associate director of communications for San Diego Zoo Global, will take on the new role of director of parkwide communications for the partnership, which represents 28 arts, science and cultural organizations.
“Michael is the absolutely right person to assume this strategic role,” said Peter Comiskey, executive director of the partnership. “He possesses extensive expertise that will be called upon to build upon the Balboa Park brand and find creative solutions for moving the park and the member institutions forward, together. ”
Warburton spent more than 20 years with San Diego Zoo Global and held leadership roles within the organization’s marketing team for more than 16 years.
