Celebrate Fourth of July early with the San Diego Symphony.

The Symphony will host a concert titled “Star Spangled Pops” on Sunday as part of its summer nights program.

Guests can expect all-American tunes with vocals by Melissa Errico. The chorale will be led by conducter Matthew Garbutt.

On top of the music, there will also be activities for the children.

The concert kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at Embarcadero Marina Park South.

Here are some other events happening this weekend:

Independence Festival

San Ysidro will host its annual Independence Festival at Cesar Chavez Park inside Larsen Field from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.
The family-friendly festival will include bounce houses for the kids, live music, food and a fireworks show at 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

USA Rugby

Cheer on the USA Eagles this weekend as they fave Canada. The game begins at 3 p.m. at the Torero Stadium at the University of San Diego. The game will determine if the Eagles qualify for the 2019 Rugby World Cup. Tickets start at $20.

Independence Parade

The city of Oceanside will hosts its annual Independence Day Parade on Saturday. The 23rd annual event will begin at 10 a.m. featuring floats, marching bands and cars. The parade takes place in downtown Oceanside.
