Take a break from reality and step into an island-theme festival this weekend.
The Island Vibe Music Festival takes place this Saturday and will offer attendees a dose of music, culture and food from the islands.
Visitors can expect Polynesian music and dance, foods such as Kalua pig, Spam misubi and other island-inspired dishes. There will also be a Vendor Village with shops offering jewelry, art and clothes.
The event takes place from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Qualcomm Stadium. Tickets are $40 or $10 for children between the ages of 6 and 12.

San Diego Brew Fest
What’s a weekend in San Diego without a beer festival? It isn’t a weekend! The San Diego Brew Fest takes place Saturday at Liberty Station. The annual festival features more than 150 beers from 70 different breweries. Attendees can also expect various food trucks to pair with their pints. Live music completes the popular Brew Fest. Tickets for the festival are $45 for general admission and $55 for VIP.
Taste of Adams
The Adams Avenue Business Association will host its annual Taste of Adams street fair. The neighborhood’s restaurants and eateries open their doors to visitors to sample dishes. Visitors can expect to try foods from up to 45 different restaurants and coffee houses. The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $35 if purchased in advance or $40 for day of.
San Diego Night Market
The San Diego Night Market returns this weekend featuring the best of the Convoy District. Attendees can expect to try a range of foods from different cultures and live music and dance performances. The event takes place from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are just $3.
OB Street Fair
The 38th annual Ocean Beach Street Fair and Chili Cook-Off takes place this Sunday. Head down to the hippy beach neighborhood for a fun afternoon featuring shopping, artists and food. The event also features the popular chili contest. Plus, there will be a Wonderland Fun Zone to cater to the kids. The free event takes place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
