Head to North County this weekend for the annual Strawberry Festival in Vista.

Once hailed as the Strawberry Capital of the World, the city will host a celebration filled with live entertainment, hundreds of vendors and carnival rides.

The event, which takes place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, also features a craft beer garden and contests such as a baking contest, costume contest and a pie-eating contest.

There will also be a Strawberry Run, dubbed as the Sweetest Race in San Diego County, featuring a 10K, 5K and 1-mile course.

Ethnic Food Fair

The house of Pacific Relations in Balboa Park will host its 37th annual Ethnic Food Fair on Sunday. The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., features food from 34 different cultures. Visitors can also expect live entertainment from performers in cultural costumes. The event is free but attendees are encouraged to make a donation.

Block Market

The Quartyard in downtown San Diego will host its monthly Block Market on Sunday. The event, which runs from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., features vendors, live acoustic music and of course, some craft beer. The family-friendly and dog-friendly event also features plenty of food trucks.

Hullabaloo

Looking for a kid-friendly event? The popular Hullabaloo band will perform at the Waterfront Park on Sunday. Guests are encourage to pack a picnic dinner as they enjoy live music from the children’s band and the sunset. The concert runs from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is free.

Vintage Car Show

If you love cars, you won’t want to miss the Vintage Car Show in Fallbrook. The 52nd annual event at Pala Mesa Resort features numerous cars, food vendors, live music and a beer and wine garden. The free event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
