D6 Night Market returns this weekend. The event, which celebrates the cultures found in District 6 of San Diego, will be held at Mira Mesa Community Park.
Attendees can expect a “Village of Neighborhoods” where you can learn what areas like Clairemont, Kearny Mesa and Mira Mesa have to offer. There will also be activities for the children, as well as, seniors at the Mira Mesa Senior Center.
Of course, you can also expect a variety of foods, beers, wines and live entertainment.
The event runs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.

Movie Night at Wine Pub
The Wine Pub in Point Loma will host an outdoor move night. The gourmet wine bar and restaurant will screen “Sideways,” a film known for skyrocketing the popularity of pinot noir and slowing the sales of merlot. Moviegoers can expect to enjoy the restaurant’s wine collection as well as snacks like gourmet popcorn. The movie starts at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
Taco Festival
Head down to Waterfront Park for an epic celebration of tacos. The San Diego Taco Festival will feature a 30 restaurants offering their best tacos, live entertainment from performers such as Vanilla Ice and a Chihuahua race and beauty pageant. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $30 online or $35 onsite. The event is opened to ages 21 and up.
Festival of the Arts
North Park Festival of the Arts returns this Saturday. The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., highlights the local art scene and includes live music from djs and fun rock bands. Attendees can also expect dance performances, food and a Kids Art Block.
Beach and Bay Race
The inaugural San Diego Beach and Bay Half Marathon and 5K takes place this Saturday. The race, which organizers described as the flattest of them all, features a scenic route of San Diego’s beaches and bay. The race ends with a beach party featuring live music, food and a beer garden. Tickets are $45 for the 5K and $105 for the half marathon.
