Celebrate the beginning of the Lunar New Year with the 12th annual Tet Festival in Mira Mesa.

The event, which is the biggest Lunar New Year celebration in San Diego, will ring in the Year of the Rooster.

The three-day festival will feature live entertainment, a cultural center, plenty of food vendors and carnival rides. Visitors can also expect the Miss Vietnam San Diego pageant and the popular lion dance.

The free festival takes place at the Mira Mesa Community Park from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Here are some other events happening this weekend:

Farmers Insurance Open

Golf legend Tiger Woods returns to the sport with the annual Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. The PGA tournament, which runs from Friday through Sunday, will also feature Brooks Koepka, Shane Lowry and Dustin Johnson. Ticket prices range from $15 to $1,000.

Yoga Festival

Hop onto a mat for some relaxation this weekend with the San Diego Yoga Festival. The four-day event features a variety of yoga classes led by San Diego’s most popular instructors. More than 100 classes will be offered, including glow-in-the-dark yoga, acro yoga, yoga for military and yoga and beer. All the classes will be held within a block radius of Ocean Beach. Festival passes range from $44 to $333 with a portion of the proceeds benefiting hopeful yoga instructors.

Disney on Ice

Grab the kiddos and head down to the Valley View Casino Center this weekend. Disney on Ice is back in town with its latest show, ā€œWorlds of Enchantment.ā€ This time, the show will feature some Disney favorites such as Elsa of ā€œFrozenā€ and Woody from ā€œToy Story.ā€ The show runs Thursday through Sunday with tickets starting at $15.

Circus Vargas

Circus Vargas is back at the Del Mar Fairgrounds with its retro-futuristic production, Steam Cirque. Audience members can expect to see daredevil acts, acrobats and more in a science-fiction fantasy atmosphere. The family-friendly event also includes a pre-show where guests can meet performers. The circus runs through Monday. Tickets start at $27.

Sunroad Marina Boat Show

The annual San Diego Sunroad Marina Boat Show takes place this weekend.The event will feature an impressive display of boats ranging from sailboats to motor yachts, food and drinks and kid-friendly activities. The event takes place at the Sunroad Resort Marina from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $13 with kids who are 12 and under free.
