A solo exhibition of the art of noted Palm Springs painter Barbara Gothard opens Saturday at the free Space 4 Art in the East Village.
The exhibition “A Mystical Journey: My Evolutionary Experience” explores the colors and expansiveness of the California desert environment with dream-like imagery.
Gothard is the former president of the Palm Springs Art Museum Artists Council. Her paintings and prints have been exhibited throughout Southern California and in France.
The exhibition will be open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday through Jan. 21.
