One of nation’s top-rated restaurants — Addision at The Grand Del Mar — celebrated its 10th anniversary in San Diego on Sunday.

The anniversary comes in the wake of numerous awards. Last week, OpenTable named Addison one of the top 100 restaurants for foodies in the United States. The hotel restaurant has repeatedly made OpenTable’s list of the nation’s best and most romantic restaurants.

Addison is Southern California’s only Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond restaurant, and was named one of Gayot’s “Top 10 U.S. Hotel Restaurants.”

Executive Chef William Bradley takes an artisanal approach to cooking, combining local ingredients with contemporary French influences. He said Sunday his aim is to simplify fine cuisine to its essence.

The restaurant is named for Addison Mizner, an architect who in the 1920s popularized the Mediterranean Revival-style architecture in which the Grand Del Mar is designed.
