The Octopus Restaurant Group of Los Angeles, with over 20 Southern California restaurants to its credit, opened its newest sushi restaurant, H2O Sushi & Izakaya, this week in Hillcrest.
The contemporary Japanese gastropub with white decor and LED lighting is located at 3950 Fifth Avenue.
The menu incorporates traditional Japanese flavors with a modern presentation, including a Japanese take on carpaccio, fresh seasonal oysters, and an array of small plates made with fresh fish and local produce.
H2O’s drink menu boasts 12- and 18-year-old Japanese Whisky flights, cocktails, and sake bombs priced at $2 during happy hour.
The new restaurant is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
