The Grill, a popular restaurant at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, reopened Monday following a $2.5 million renovation.

The informal eatery overlooks the famous Torrey Pines Golf Course and features five outdoor fire-pit tables, an overhead wooden trellis and craftsman-style teak furniture. The renovation doubled the outside capacity and added an alfresco lounge.

Executive Chef Jeff Jackson has also revamped the menu, which pays homage to Santa Maria-style slow cooking over an open fire. Entrees include the eatery’s trademark Drugstore Burger, a reinterpretation of the Monte Cristo sandwich, Oak Grilled Tri Tip Santa Maria Style, and Hot Smoked Black Pepper Salmon.

The renovated restaurant features 12 taps from San Diego craft breweries and an extensive lineup of bottled beer.

The Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
