The San Diego Blood Bank (SDBB) is searching for local, talented musicians to peform at the Charger’s blood drive XXXVII in November. The chosen musician will perform an original song for approximately 4,000 expected guests at the game on Nov. 24.
Locals may demonstrate their talent by submitting videos to the San Diego Blood Drive. Any style of music is welcomed. SDBB is encouraging both creative individuals and groups to audition for the event. For those who don’t quite make the cut, there are also three consolation cash prizes ranging from $50 to $250.
“Don’t worry about video production, this contest is all about discovering local star talent,” said David Wellis, the CEO of SDBB. “We encourage aspiring celebrities of all ages to give something back and help save a life by participating with us at this amazing, life-saving event that helps others in need.”
The Chargers Drive XXXVII is one of the longest-running blood drives in the nation. They’ve collected more than 72,000 pints of blood over the past 36 years. The game will be hosted at the Convention Center in Mission Valley.
