Mission Trail Regional Park will host a free concert Sunday with acclaimed San Diego jazz singer Lillian Palmer.

Palmer will sing a variety of songs, ranging from big-band swing to doo-wop to contemporary jazz, accompanied by a three-piece jazz trio in the park’s visitor center.

The classically trained artist has years of experience as a singer and actress. She has performed in nightclubs and cabaret venues in Italy and California, and leads her own jazz quartet.

The concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, is free, but space is limited and guests are encouraged to arrive early.

Mission Trails’ free concert series is designed to showcase the park as a premiere San Diego educational and recreational resource.
