The La Jolla Music Society closes this season’s celebrity recital series with violinist Christian Tetzlaff and pianist Lars Vogt performing works from Mozart to Bartok at Sherwood Auditorium on Saturday.

The two German artists are frequent collaborators, both in live performances and recordings, and are renowned for sharing an unparalleled musical synchronicity.

“It was obvious why these two musicians work together,” wrote one reviewer last year, “rarely is a musical conversation so perfectly matched and flawlessly executed….”

Their program on Saturday, May 9, spans nearly two centuries of classical music, with works by Mozart, Brahms, Bartok and Webern.

The performance begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $35 to $99 and are available at 858-459-3728 or online at www.LJMS.org.
