The Old Globe‘s 17th annual production of the Dr. Seuss — and San Diego — classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” opens Thursday for a holiday run.

The whimsical production promises to once again jump off the pages of the classic children’s book by La Jolla’s Theodor “Dr. Seuss” Geisel and onto the stage with it’s message of the meaning of Christmas:

Every Who
Down in Who-ville
Liked Christmas a lot…

But the Grinch,
Who lived just North of Who-ville,
Did NOT!

The play runs through Dec. 27 at the Globe’s Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage. Tickets start at $37 for adults and $24 for children. Tickets are available online.
